Beer Festival - 16th May 2010

Oldham Rugby Union club are holding their first ever beer festival on Friday 14th, Saturday 15th and (if there is anything left) Sunday the 16th of May 2010.

There will be entertainment on the Saturday evening and the Saturday afternoon will see the inaugural Greater Manchester Veterans tournament with a team representing each of the cities and boroughs that make up the conurbation. The entertainment on the Saturday evening will be courtesy of The Right Stuff.

The festival it self will feature at least ten different real ales and a cider plus foreign and British bottle conditioned beers that aren’t widely available. The beer list isn’t yet finalised but the club are hopeful to have a couple of rugby themed beers and there will be a mystery beer with a prize for the first correct answer that is drawn out.

Oldham started this game the better of the two sides and were unfortunate not to score in the first 3minutes when the ball went across the line after some good forward drives only to see Andy Gorey held up over the line.
